ImageNPay appoint former Bank of America executive as new Chief Commercial Officer

British fintech company ImageNPay – which enables customers to personalise a virtual Mastercard with fun images – has appointed former Bank of America executive Robert Craig as Chief Commercial Officer.

Robert has held senior roles at some of the financial sector’s most respected companies including American Express, First Data, MBNA and most recently Bank of America Merchant Services, where he led commercial activities in Europe.

ImageNPay announced that Robert will focus on business development, JV’s, partnerships and product development, with a particular emphasis on how the payment platform can be leveraged by other organisations in the payments space.

Michael Donald, founder and CEO of ImageNPay, said: “Robert brings experience of working in multiple European countries as well as the USA, Kuwait, Oman, U.A.E and Saudi Arabia. He has always been a leader that I have the greatest respect. He has a real talent for taking complex concepts, developing them and then delivering products and services to the consumer that are well understood and widely adopted.

“We share a passion for positive change and with Robert joining the team we will accelerate customer acquisition and ensure that ImageNPay, with our partners at EPAM, Mastercard, Apple and EML, continue to change the way people pay by driving out plastics from payments through digital.”

The ImageNPay platform aims to rid the world of plastic payment cards, of which there are around 22 billion worldwide, with around seven billion being re-issued every year.  Most are made from unrecyclable PVC plastic.

Robert said: “I’ve known Michael for over 30 years and have been keeping a close eye on how ImagenPay has developed and grown. The opportunity to drive real change in the payments industry and continue the drive to digital payments while protecting the environment, was one that I could not pass up”

The ImageNPay app offers a safe and secure way to make payments using a pre-paid virtual charge card on a smartphone. Users can choose from an array of bespoke images, including eye-catching designs from charities and good causes, for their virtual card. It was the world’s first customisable charge card to be compatible with Apple Pay and it is also available on Android.
