As invitations go, I receive some amazing opportunities, but one of the highlights so far this year was to spend two days as a guest of Sunseeker Monaco on board their stunning 28m SuperYacht ‘High Energy’ together with the Sunseeker stars who recently featured on the hugely popular TV programme all about this iconic British brand.

As I took in the sun and shimmering waters of the port at Fontvieille , Matt Stanton of the Sunseeker Monaco office drew up alongside in the Sunseeker transport to meet me for the short walk to my launch for the journey by sea to the SuperYacht ‘High Energy’

Matt is a lovely guy, a true professional and passionate about the Sunseeker brand. As we walked to the waters edge our tender arrived, but this was a special boat indeed a Whitmarsh luxury high performance rib!

As we rounded the port into the open ocean, the engines really opened up, the warm Mediterranean sea spray in the air, the sun glistening off the ocean – I thought wow! Today is a great day!!

We glided around the corner into the port of Monaco into a world of splendour, the SuperYachts were out in force for the Historic Grand Prix, and as we drew closer into the port ‘High Energy’ came into view, her sheer size and modern design setting her apart from her neighbours.

You can tell a Sunseeker immediately from any other boat out there, they are truly a design icon.

The tender docked, I was helped onto the jetty by one of the crew of Sunseeker ‘High Energy’ and great guy Gavin Larson for a short walk to a very warm welcome by the captain of ‘High Energy’ Paul Drissell THE most stylish sea captain you will ever meet! If you charter ‘High Energy’ then going aboard her is not just another thing, you are welcomed aboard in massive style and with great pride by her crew, a glass of Champagne placed into your hand, and where nothing is too much trouble, as you walk on soft carpets for a tour of the boat, leading to the upstairs bar on the fly bridge and a Gin and Tonic. As part of the construction of ‘High Energy’ you immediately notice carbon fibre everywhere, this boat is just so special you will immediately fall in love.

Other VIP Sunseeker guests arrived and welcomed on board for a superb networking experience, a wonderful selection of successful people, high achievers, who have all been a success and are now enjoying everything that a luxury lifestyle can offer them, with Sunseeker firmly at the heart of the whole weekend.

Food began to arrive, but arrived in a way that was heavenly, freshly prepared by Sunseeker superstar and superchief Hannah Vallberg  delivered with a beaming smile and that Cote d’Azur glamour you only see in the movies.

We actually had some rain on day 1!

This wonderful experience was repeated for a second day, and below are some more images from day 2!

The GP practice sessions were day 1, the race day 2. Monaco became a cauldron of noise, sparked by the tremendous sounds of the historic Formula 1 cars tearing up the historic circuit, the noise almost made the whole Principality shake, and you could not help feel just a little emotional to be part of history.

Accommodation

High Energy’s interior layout sleeps up to 8 guests in 4 rooms, including a master suite, 1 VIP stateroom, 2 twin cabins and 2 convertable cabins. With a cruising speed of 20 knots, a maximum speed of 26 knots and a range of 300nm from her 9,000 fuel tanks, she is the perfect combination of performance and luxury.
