Exquisite Alpine hospitality Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol: perfect luxury on a higher plane

By James W Phillips for Luxury News Online.

Luxury News Online plans to visit this fantastic hotel in the first half of this year by invitation and I will be bringing you a review and fabulous images from this luxury hotel nestled in the mountains.

So here’s some background and an overview until I arrive!

Pure. High. Pleasure. This is the ethos of the five-star superior Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol on Seefeld’s high plateau. Guests come here to feel fabulous in one of the 282 spacious luxury rooms and suites, to experience culinary excellence in its restaurants, to relax in an award-winning Spa, and enjoy an idyllic setting with sweeping views across the Inn Valley. Whether they come to keep fit with sports and activities in pristine nature or just lie back and do nothing, every guest is guaranteed to feel completely refreshed after their stay. It’s no coincidence, that the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol also provides the perfect setting for high quality meetings and events.

Guests can enjoy the good life, relax and be pampered at the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol just as they wish; switch off from every day cares, and immerse themselves in a world where their own well-being is paramount. While some may dream of sports and activity in the beautiful mountain scenery, others look forward to a few days of just doing nothing. Golfers find the hotel a great base to stay, as do conference delegates, who appreciate the perfect infrastructure and service here. Every guest can expect gourmet dining, which receives rave reviews from culinary experts.

Locally inspired pleasures of the palate

The half board package includes a six-course à la carte dinner which starts with a salad buffet and ends with a groaning cheeseboard. The focus of every culinary creation is regional Tyrolean produce, skilfully prepared by head chef Mario Döring (15 Gault Millau points and two stars). In addition, the Spa Restaurant offers healthy vitality cuisine, which guests can enjoy even in their bathrobes. In contrast, Café Wien always has an inviting display of pastries, cakes and tortes. The hotel’s own bakery produces beautiful baskets of loaves and rolls fresh every morning and a lavish breakfast buffet gives guests the very best start to their day.

An oasis of well-being and sports facilities without rival

The multi award-winning luxury Spa which covers 5,000 square metres is one of the most spacious well-being facilities in the Alpine region. Guests can be pampered with a fabulous choice of beauty and wellness treatments. The expert team of beauty therapist keeps their focus very much on the individual and offer treatments for all, including some suitable for children‘s and teenagers’ complexions.

The sauna area is designed like a Tyrolean village, where bright little houses conceal various saunas and steam rooms. A Kneipp hydrotherapy stream meanders through the village, its babbling waters instilling a sense of tranquillity. The indoor swimming pool is of Olympic proportions on the same generous scale as the hotel, and guests can enjoy breath-taking views of surrounding mountain peaks from both this and the connecting heated outdoor pool.

The Spa area also includes fitness facilities, where on request the two personal coaches can help put together an individual training programme. Guests are also invited to take part in the daily leisure programme, which includes all kinds of activities. The incredible range of sports is complemented by indoor and outdoor tennis courts.

The Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol’s unique location guarantees a perfect holiday all year round

There are many ways to explore the picturesque mountain peaks surrounding this hotel. Mountain bikers find the perfect terrain to practice their sport, but the slopes can also be conquered by Nordic walking, climbing or hiking. Detailed maps are available, the trails are clearly signposted and the ways are dotted with charming Tyrolean mountain huts where you can stop for rest and refreshments, all making for a pleasant and safe day out. Those who like a more relaxed approach can explore the trails with E-bikes, the little motor giving riders the sensation that the wind is always behind you.

In winter when the fabulous landscapes are covered with glittering snow, downhill and cross-country skiers come into their own. The Interalpen ski trail right in front of the hotel connects directly to the famous Seefeld Olympia Region trail network. Winter holidaymakers also like to explore the region and enjoy the snow on touring skis, snow-shoes or a toboggan.

The Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol as an ideal base for golf enthusiasts

Golf enthusiasts will find a great choice of golf courses for every level of player near the hotel. Seefeld-Wildmoos Golf Club, an 18-hole championship course which is a real jewel amongst Alpine courses, is right on the doorstep. Mieminger Plateau Golf Park, just a 25 minute drive away, offers a good alternative. This golf complex with magnificent mountain views has both a 9-hole parkland course and an 18-hole championship course.
