Promotional goods titan Everything Branded has agreed a sponsorship deal with its local basketball team, the Leicester Riders, for the 2022-2023 season to supply merchandise for the official club shop.
Everything Branded founder Paul Rowlett and his team have forged significant partnerships in sport before, recently entering into motorsport in a kit supply deal with Paddock Motorsport, who race in the British GT Championship, and offering corporate endorsement to fellow veteran and war hero Brian Wood’s sports clothing brand Keep Attacking.
The Leicester Riders was crowned back-to-back BBL Championship winners in April this year and are British basketball’s oldest team. The team is seeking to expand its remit and promote basketball across the sporting community while encouraging youngsters from the area to give it a try.
Now Everything Branded will this season be the exclusive merchandise and apparel partner of the Riders with a vision to improve the product mix and deliver value for fans over the course of the season. This deal will run concurrent to the existing deal Kappa have in place for the team kit and the official partnership in place for supply of basketballs with Molten.
James Kyte, Commercial Director for Everything Branded said: “Both Everything Branded, and Riders are successful, Leicester-based organisations who are leaders in their respective arenas.
We set out to create a partnership that will deliver added value for both Everything Branded and Riders and agreeing this deal is testament to the Riders vision of continuing to grow their partnership base and of our desire to support local organisations who have huge potential for national reach.”
Kevin Routledge, Leicester Riders Chairman, was delighted with the partnership with Everything Branded. He added: “The Riders have achieved great things on the court over a sustained period and we want to be sure we are also improving off-the-court in our commercial operations in tandem.
“We are absolutely delighted to partner with a global expert like Everything Branded to support the growth of our merchandise operations.”
James Kyte concluded: “We are hugely excited about the first home game and look forward to inviting staff and customers along throughout the season in a move which gives us a fantastic opportunity to engage with our network whilst enjoying top quality games.
“Having spent nearly a decade in the licensing world I see massive potential for Riders and the British Basketball League over coming seasons and I’m delighted that we’re now going to be able to play a part in helping to spur on our local team and the profile of the sport here in the UK.”
