Julia Haart from ‘My Unorthodox Life’ to receive Icon Award at London Fashion Week

Julia Haart from the hit Netflix series ‘My Unorthodox Life,’ flies into London this Friday to receive The Icon Award for Innovation & Impact at THIS IS ICON during London Fashion Week.

The award is in recognition of her extraordinary work in the fashion and technology industries, including her recently launched shapewear brand as well as her inspiring philanthropic and humanitarian pursuits.

THIS IS ICON will stage three electrifying runway shows including one from the industry’s most beloved global designer, Malan Breton; ascending talent Ross Griffiths who will present his ‘wearable for everyone’ Kingfisher Couture SS24 collection and the latest designs from JCA – the Jimmy Choo Academy. In addition to the runway shows, THIS IS ICON will bestow a number of awards on the night for contributions to fashion, music and philanthropy.

Musical entertainment will include a performance by NME’s hotly tipped girl band Y.Q.S who will release their new single ‘Love Language’ in aid of Prost8, a charity dedicated to deliver cutting-edge, minimally invasive procedures to men diagnosed with low to intermediate prostate cancer. Y.Q.S is currently creating a buzz in the UK music scene with their one-of-a-kind fusion of contemporary R&B, Afro-Swing Pop, and Latin influences.

Ahead of the main event in the evening, at 4.30pm Julia Haart will launch her shapewear brand +BODY BY JULIA HAART and host a meet and greet in the gifting lounge.

Julia’s impact is far reaching; she has harnessed her platform to be a powerful force for positive change in the world. Julia’s unwavering support for women’s rights serve as a beacon of hope in a world where women’s choices are under threat.

Julia’s advocacy extends globally as a champion of democracy, particularly in regions like Ukraine, and Rwanda, where she led missions to deliver essential humanitarian supplies to people in need. Her unwavering dedication to the right to freedom is an inspiration to all.

THIS IS ICON takes place at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms 61 – 65 Great Queen Street, London WC2B 5DA in aid of the prostate cancer charity prost8.org.uk on Friday 15th September.
