James will be working with tutor Michael Levy to set projects for students across all grades in conjunction with project groups set up by the students. These projects will be based upon three chosen businesses that James either owns or has director-level or management responsibilities in.
The idea is to give students projects that will inspire and motivate and help to prepare them for real world life as young entrepreneurs or employees when they graduate.
James will be flying out from London early in 2020 to visit the students in New York, which will be organised by one of the businesses that James helps to manage as director of Inspire Me Travel, so please keep returning to this site or follow James on instagram @james_w_phillips for updates.
La Salle Institute is an independent, Catholic college preparatory school serving young men in grades six through twelve. The schools website proudly states ‘Builders of boys, makers of men’ and this struck a cord with James, having attended the same all boys school as his father Chris, The Colchester Boys High School, in Essex United Kingdom, and he has seen through his life the benefits of a strong schooling and the bond you make for life, having made friends that are still close today.
‘La Salle Institute was founded by The Brothers of the Christian Schools in 1850 to serve the growing immigrant population coming into Troy, NY …Academic success is achieved by providing a strong college preparatory academic program that stresses the academic growth of each young man. Our community encourages, challenges and supports each student’s journey to reach his potential.’
