Europe’s most secure and exclusive private vaults, has today announced plans to expand its world-leading collection of safe storage boxes by over 60% as increasing numbers of luxury clients rush to ensure the protection of their valuables.
The expansion will increase the total capacity of the vaults, located inside the Grade II listed Stanhope House at 46 Park Lane, Mayfair, to just over 900 safe storage boxes, and comes in response to a 121% year-on-year surge in luxury audiences wanting to protect their smaller-sized luxury possessions including gold, watches, handbags, and jewellery at IBV International Vaults London.
This surge has been driven partly due to increase in recent years of street thefts in London for handbags and watches respectively, but also due to the rising demand in clients requiring facilities for storing gold, in context of the rapid rise in gold prices this year that reached a high of $4,381 per ounce in October 2025. A division of IBV International Vaults, IBV Gold, specialises in the trade and storage of London Market Bullion Association certified gold, and has witnessed a rise in clients specifically using the branch to keep their coins and bullion under protection as they accumulate value.
The expansion of the vaults will see more of the smallest, most popular A, B, and C units added and also to be added as part of the expansion are new HH+ units, sized 925mm by 640mm by 490mm. Once installed, this will make IBV International Vaults London the provider of the largest private safe storage boxes available to clients anywhere in London. These units designed for holding items such as suitcases, large handbags and art pieces.
Each box at IBV International Vaults London is protected with military-grade safety measures including biometric fingerprints and iris scanners, time delay locks, 24/7 CCTV monitored by four different surveillance offices, and ballistic glazing. Clients, who include billionaires, millionaires, and celebrities, receive up to £1 million complimentary insurance, the world’s best complimentary vault insurance cover, and can choose to extend their coverage up to £100 million.
Alongside gold, handbags, art, watches and jewellery more unique possessions stored at the vaults include limited edition Pokémon cards and crypto wallets.
Sean Hoey, Managing Director of IBV International Vaults London and former head of the Harrod’s safe box storage department, comments: “This expansion marks an exciting new chapter for IBV International Vaults London. The continued demand for our secure storage solutions reflects the growing awareness among our clients of the need for trusted, discreet, and world-class protection of their most valued possessions. Our new safes will ensure we continue to offer the highest levels of security and luxury, setting the benchmark for private vaults in Europe.”
