So, my VIP letter arrived in the post from Ferrari to allow me access to the Ferrari stand at the 2015 Geneva Motorshow, with special thanks to Ryan Lugg of supercars of Essex http://www.supercarsofessex.co.uk/ I flew out from the UK, and as we descended over lake Geneva, I was excited for the cars which lay ahead. Geneva was packed, and I luckily arrived at the show early, which I would recommend, as after 11am you literally can not move! I will write up a full show report very soon! So I made my way to the Ferrari stand, which was already surrounded by a huge crowd, at least 4 deep. One of the lucky few, I was let through the barrier to be greeted by some very helpful Ferrari staff, who asked me which car I was there to see – the 488GTB I promptly said and was lead straight away to the vehicle – and I have to report, that in the flesh she was stunning! The sculpting of the body was the first noticeable difference to the 458, especially the huge air intakes each side over the rear wheels. Even the door handles were newly sculpted to make best use of the airflow over the vehicle. The interior was snug and much more cozy the the 458, with simple controls. The engine bay was stunning, and wrapped in carbon on the grey model, which is an optional extra. The bespoke 488GTB luggage was again – stunning! As I sat in the cockpit and looked out at the crowds from inside in the drivers position, I felt the sheer power of the Ferrari brand and when the day comes for a test drive and to hear the noise, which I am told is epic! The waiting list is expected to be long – very long, so I wonder who will be the first to spot one on the streets? If you do, make sure you post it on my Facebook page at Luxury News Online https://www.facebook.com/LuxuryNewsOnline?ref=hl
So here are the photos, sit back and enjoy!
