Renowned for designing and manufacturing professional-grade apparel for outdoor adventures and water-based pursuits, Helly Hansen’s Urban rainwear makes consumers feel alive in wet and windy conditions, with high-quality weather protection in silhouettes to complement every occasion. The jackets are made with 2-ply Helly Tech® waterproof-breathable fabrics in a variety of colours and soft textures.
New for 2017, the men’s and women’s Rigging Rain Jackets offer versatile designs for all occasions. The hip-length windbreaker-style jackets are soft to the touch with a peached fabric featuring Helly Tech® waterproof, breathable, windproof protection and marine-inspired design elements.

Tor Jenssen, Helly Hansen’s Category Managing Director for Urban, comments, “Helly Hansen began as a Workwear brand for fishermen in 1877 and grew into lifestyle apparel more than 70 years ago. In more recent decades, our brand has become known as a world leader in technical apparel. The new Urban collection reflects our heritage, with classic outerwear styles and integrating the latest technologies to offer professional-grade weather protection for everyone.”

Helly Hansen was born of the sea in Norway in 1877 and drawing on its heritage and nautical roots, the new men’s longer-cut, contemporary Captain’s Rain Parka embodies this. The lined jacket is made with a weather-repelling, two-ply Helly Tech® fabric and is fully seam sealed.
The full Urban line will showcase at the Summer Outdoor Retailer Trade Show in August, 2016, and will be available at retail in spring 2017.
