TICKETS ON SALE NOW

Classical composer and pianist Tamara Konstantin has announced that she will be joining Aled Jones MBE on his 2022 UK-wide tour.

Tamara, who has been enjoying huge success with her new album ‘Resilience’, will be accompanied by her trio, the Three Graces, which includes world renowned cellist Jiaxin Lloyd Webber and violinist Elly Suh as the support to Aled Jones.

Beginning at St Mary’s Church in Nottingham on 23rd February, the tour will take in some of the most stunning holy buildings in the UK, including Bristol Cathedral, Manchester Monastery, Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, Coventry Cathedral and Durham Cathedral, before ending at St Asaph Cathedral on 26th March.

Aled Jones’ extraordinary 40-year career has taken him from a successful boy soprano to prominence in the mid-80s with his cover of ‘Walking in the Air’. Having gone on to receive countless prestigious awards, record-breaking sales and chart successes, Aled has performed for the Pope and the Royal Family, received an MBE and racked up over 10 million album sales. He has also forged an extensive career as a TV and radio presenter.

Classically trained pianist and composer, Tamara Konstantin has performed for HRH Prince Charles, been honoured by her country of origin and had her highly acclaimed compositions played on Classic FM and BBC Radio.  But music is Tamara Konstantin’s third successful career, Tamara was the first political presenter on Georgian TV before becoming VP of an oil company. Six years ago, she returned to her early love of music and three successful albums followed. Her most recent body of work – ‘Resilience’ (released by Last Man Music), combines her own mesmerising and passionate compositions with her love of Chopin’s romanticism, Rachmaninoff’s strength and Beethoven’s dynamism. Created during the pandemic, it is a testament to Tamara’s belief in the power of music to console, uplift, and bring people together.

The tour will see Aled perform tracks from his album ‘Blessings’, which features songs from a range of different faiths – Quaker, Christian, Catholic, Muslim and Buddhism – including uplifting hymns, texts and scriptures set to music.

Commenting on the tour, Tamara said: “To be supporting Aled Jones is a great honour and to be playing in such exalted surroundings, a genuine thrill.  Jiaxin Lloyd Webber, Elly Suh and I are tremendously excited. We have 24 performances starting in Nottingham on 23rd February.”
