Red-carpet Highlights at The Global Gift Gala London 2025

By Natalie Robinson on November 3, 2025

The Global Gift Gala 2025 transformed the Kimpton Hotel in Russell Square into a dazzling evening of glamour and philanthropy on Saturday, 1st November. Pioneered by the visionary Gala Chair Maria Bravo and warmly hosted by Nick Ede, the Global Gift Foundation is dedicated to supporting women and children in Spain. At the heart of its mission lies Casa Ángeles, a nurturing day centre in Marbella that provides vital support to children with special needs and their families. This year, in its 12th edition in London, the gala threw its weight behind the SameYou charity, with the enchanting actress Emilia Clarke, MBE, and her mother, Jenny Clarke, MBE, serving as Honorary Chairs.

SameYou is a brain injury recovery charity that “works to develop better mental health recovery treatment for survivors, raises awareness and advocates for improvement in rehabilitation provision.” During the early seasons of filming for Game of Thrones, Clarke suffered two brain haemorrhages.

“In early 2011, I was struck by the first of two brain haemorrhages,” she said in a statement shared on the charity’s website. “I am hardly unique or alone in that. 1 in 3 people will suffer a brain injury in their lifetime. That number is huge. It’s almost double the number of people who will develop dementia. It’s shocking to me—and you too, probably—that such a common health problem is so little known and barely spoken about. I made a full recovery, but many more people don’t, and I want to break the silence on this common, silent and devastating condition.”
