Cannes Yachting Festival 2025 Preview

By Becca Eisenberg

Last year, Cannes Yachting Festival welcomed 55,000 visitors who came to see the yachts in the water and on land, strolling along the quays of the Vieux Port and Port Canto discovering various companies and innovations focused on developing the maritime economy and preserving the marine environment.  Exhibitors and visitors can explore this flagship event across two exhibition spaces: Vieux Port, the world of motor boats and the Luxury Gallery and Port Canto, the location for sailing boats and the brokerage and toys area.

The Vieux Port zone will bring together more than 350 monohull, multihull, rigid hull or semi-rigid hull, boats in water; the crème de la crème in terms of new 12 to 45-metre motor yachts presented by the biggest names in French and international yachting.  Vieux Port spreads over six zones;

  1. The Palais des Festivals: home to the major players in the yachting sector, whether they are boat builders, equipment manufacturers, interior fittings, tourism or service companies. The entrance to the show and the side aisle of the Palais are home to some twenty tenders and international engine manufacturers for large yachts.

  1. The Jétee: In-water, visitors can view large boats longer than 22-metres, while on land visitors can discover shipyards, and service companies such as crew management companies, yacht transport and more.

  1. The Superyachts Extension: This zone showcases the show’s superyachts ranging between 24 and 45/50-metres, tenders, shipyards and service companies.

  1. The Quai Max Laubeuf: This zone will have boatbuilders and around 40 boats in-water including power catamarans up to 30-metres in length, and monohulls measuring between 12-15 metres.

  1. The Pantiero: The quay features a wide range of vessels from 12-20 metres. In front of the Pantiero and Quai Saint-Pierre in the middle of the stretch of water, the large semi-rigid boats measuring between 12-17 metres are displayed. On land, visitors can discover boat builders and the Equipment Village with exhibitors showcasing electronics and navigation equipment, deck supplies, technology and services over 4,600 m².

  1. The Quai Saint-Pierre: Below the Le Suquet hill, Quai Saint-Pierre will feature equipment manufacturers, shipyards, service companies and boats ranging from12-16  metres long with a focus on luxury day boats and flybridge boats.

At Port Canto, the Power Boat Marina returns for the 2025 edition, located between the Sailing and Yacht Brokerage and Toys areas. This zone, created for last year’s show, contributed to an enhanced experience by allowing visitors to move easily from one quay to another, and one theme to another.

“Alongside the 700 boats on show, we are delighted to welcome a large number of equipment manufacturers and marine service providers who play a crucial role in our industry, hand in hand with the shipyards, by developing technologies, solutions, innovations and services that make sailing not only more enjoyable, more accessible and safer, but also more respectful of our seas and oceans. Thanks to their work, the nautical ecosystem is evolving to the delight of boaters. Some of these products and services will make their world premiere at Cannes” says Sylvie Ernoult, Director of the Cannes Yachting Festival.

Exhibitor Highlights at Cannes Yachting Festival 2025

Ocean Independence has been nominated as the Central Agent for the NOA 46 that will be displayed in Vieux Port after being delivered in Yalova/Turkey by the relatively new shipyard The Yacht Factory. Jeremy Comport, Director and Sales Consultant at Ocean Independence, comments: “The NOA 46 has a very modern design approach that will appeal to many customers. I am pretty sure this premiere marks the start of a new success story in Turkish yacht building.“

With exterior design by Hot Lab Yacht Design, the 46-metre yacht’s cruising speed is 13 knots, with a top speed anticipated at 15.7 knots.  Interior design by Adil Kasapseckin combines predominantly brown and beige tones, while generous glazing allows plenty of daylight into interior rooms. She has accommodation for ten guests in five staterooms and a main salon which is directly connected to the al fresco lounge area featuring a large jacuzzi. Another highlight is the sun deck equipped with a huge bar, DJ booth, and a gym area.

Sirena Marine has chosen Cannes Yachting Festival as the venue for the world debut of its new Sirena 60. Designed as an update to the popular Sirena 58 cruiser, the main deck’s internal lounge gets a larger C-shaped sofa and dining table.  The design team has devoted more interior volume to key lifestyle features of the Sirena 60. Entering through the broad sliding aft doors, the galley has grown nearly 20 per cent in area, allowing for bigger work surfaces, smarter storage and the option of a wine cooler.  The three-cabin configuration will continue to feature a full-beam master suite, a forward VIP and a flexible cabin that can convert from a double to twin singles.

The Innovation Route

Amid this environment, 2025’s edition will see the return of Cannes Yachting Festival’s “Innovation Route” which aims to highlight eco-efficient solutions with the potential to have high impact. Forty-two innovative and sustainable solutions have been selected by a jury of experts and can be identified by dedicated signage, while aiming for an accolade in the inaugural Innovation Route Awards.

A brand new TV Studio will also be set up at the show to allow visitors to meet the exhibitors selected for the Innovation Route.  It will host exhibitors in the morning at Vieux Port and in the afternoon at Port Canto, giving them the opportunity to present their innovative products, services, or equipment in detail.

Innovation Route exhibitors include SeaKite – Beyond the Sea with their automated kite traction system, F2 with their bio-based hull coating system and AGL Marine’s  Monawa cleaning solution that desalinates seawater into non-potable fresh water that can be used for boat cleaning and maintenance.
